Kitty Mitchell has been promoted to manager of the estimating department at Absorbent Ink., a Lawrence-based promotional marketing company.

Mitchell supervises the company’s estimating process and bid solicitation, and will oversee restructuring and organization of the department.

Prior to joining the company in June 2006, Mitchell was president and owner of her family’s moving company, Certified Moving Specialists, and spent 12 years working for the Seem-To-Be Players.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Kansas University.
