Mass. Street house catches on fire
Firefighters were on the scene Wednesday investigating a chimney and attic fire at a house at 2032 Mass., emergency dispatchers said.
Firefighters reported no injuries to dispatchers. Both residents and a dog made it safely out of the home.
The call came in at 7:42 p.m. to dispatchers, and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical firefighters responded. The response blocked traffic between 19th and 21st streets on Massachusetts Street.
A roofer working on the home said he smelled smoke just before the fire, residents told 6News staff.
No other details were available Wednesday night.
