Beginning this morning, new portions of the intersection of Seventh and New Hampshire streets will be closed for construction.

Seventh Street from New Hampshire to Rhode Island streets will be closed so crews can rebuild portions of the street. The city is recommending that motorists who are coming from the east and need to go north or south on New Hampshire Street use Ninth Street instead of Seventh Street.

Construction crews are expected to have the intersection blocked for a week or more, depending on weather.
