To the editor:

Last week, my picture was in the Journal-World in association with the Douglas County Dental Clinic. I have not been known for being especially photogenic in my life, but that picture removed any doubt! That was just my own little embarrassment.

The point of this letter is to bring to light a few observations that the article didn’t mention. One of them involves the staff at the clinic. They are professionals. All of the people I have encountered appear to enjoy working there. In the three years that I have entered their doors, I have never waited more than five minutes for my appointment. The state-of-the-art equipment enables them to help people through procedures with a minimum of pain or fear.

Children, teenagers and adults, without insurance, receive superior care from people who care.

The Douglas County Dental Clinic is an excellent service supported by a good organization. Please support it through the United Way. You would help a lot of people.
