Audio expert to tout one-speaker DSP
A Yamaha Corp. representative will be in Lawrence on Thursday to help people listen to and understand the technical capabilities of digital signal processing, or DSP.
Mark Hitterdal, the company’s factory representative in the United States, will participate in a free informational seminar from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kief’s Audio Video, 2429 Iowa St.
DSP technology provides total surround sound using only one speaker, said Ed Hawkins, manager for audio and video at Kief’s. The products typically are used for home theaters.
