Comments taken on KU, city bus systems
Area residents this week will have a chance to weigh in on the future of the two public transit systems that operate in Lawrence.
Representatives from the city and Kansas University will be accepting public comment at two meetings related to whether the T – the city-operated bus system – should have greater coordination or even merge with the KU on Wheels bus system.
The first meeting will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday at City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets. The second meeting will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the Kansas Room of the Kansas Union. Both meetings will be an open house format. Participants are invited to come and go anytime during the meeting.
