Central National adds 40-year mortgages
Central National Bank announced Friday that it had begun offering 40-year mortgages for qualified borrowers, products intended to make it easier for first-time buyers to afford monthly payments on a home.
A 40-year mortgage can be an option for buyers who cannot afford payments on a traditional 30-year loan and are unable to absorb increased payments with adjustable or shorter-term loans, said Tina Barker, vice president for mortgage lending.
