Overland Park ? The Free State High volleyball team earned three victories at a quad at Shawnee Mission South on Thursday.

The Firebirds topped their hosts, 25-13, 25-13, before sneaking by Shawnee Mission North, 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, and sweeping Blue Valley Northwest, 25-22, 25-20.

Coach Nancy Hopkins said libero Alyx Glover and middle blocker Brooke Carter led the team.

Free State (8-2) will play another quad at Olathe South on Sept. 22.
