City seeks input on westside park

The city’s Parks and Recreation Department is looking for input on how to develop a new park near Bob Billings Parkway and George Williams Way.

The department will have a public meeting at 7 p.m. Sept. 20 at Langston Hughes School, 1101 George Williams Way.

City commissioners earmarked money to begin park development in 2007. The meeting will review the previously completed master plan for the area, which includes a walking trail and playground.
