Sept. 11, 2001, has made the country more vulnerable than any other event in our lifetimes. It has permanently changed the way we think and feel about safety and has struck a seemingly real sense of panic in the minds of many Americans.

Since 9/11 the people of this country have no longer been concerned with preserving vital liberties given to us in the Bill of Rights.

The fear caused by 9/11 has made the American people back an imperialistic war machine that promises to forever bring terror to other parts of the world in the name of “freedom.”

But the real vulnerability comes from this war machine, which has mobilized millions of people to take action against the dominating military destruction of America. In this battle there is going to be no winner – it is simple. Americans will continue to kill people and in turn those people will kill Americans, and it grows and grows without end. And while involved in this epic struggle the important issues and safety of Americans at home go ignored.

Sept. 11 was indeed a very dark day in American history. But I believe that the horrific response to that day will bring many more dark times for our country. Our children will surely pay dearly for our mistakes. They will inherit a crumbling imperialistic empire that the rest of the world views as the great destroyer.

It is up to us to try to stop the bleeding of so many across the world and take care of our ever-growing problems in America. It is time we took care of education, heath care and poverty instead of promoting violence and instability in other parts of the world.

We have chosen to steal natural resources from other parts of the world in order to preserve our luxury and consumption lifestyles. In doing so, we have neglected implementing necessary conservation methods and technologies.

Sept. 11 has been used by the White House to perpetually scare the people into believing that its agenda is the only course for America. They have used the innocent lives lost on that day to implement their malicious foreign policy of greed and violence, which causes our citizens and servicemen and women to be incredibly vulnerable to more attacks.
