TherapyWorks’ fifth-annual Great Pumpkin Pursuit is set for 8 a.m. Oct. 1 at the Clinton Lake Softball Complex in southwest Lawrence.

The event will include a 5K run, a one-mile fun run/walk and a Great Pumpkin Exchange Relay. Proceeds support scholarships – one each for a senior from Lawrence and Free State high schools – granted through the Lawrence Schools Foundation to students planning to enter health-related professions.

The event will include costume contests for children under age 13.
