Attorneys lead bar foundation
Two Lawrence attorneys are taking leadership roles with the Kansas Bar Foundation.
Sally Pokorny, an attorney and of-counsel in the Law Offices of David J. Brown, Lawrence, was elected president of the foundation. She focuses her practice on the areas of family law, nontraditional family law, criminal law and DUI defense. Pokorny received her law degree from Washburn University.
Katherine L. Kirk, Lawrence, was elected to serve a two-year term on the foundation’s Board of Trustees, as a representative of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Assn. Kirk works in the Law Offices of Jerry K. Levy, focusing her practice in the areas of personal injury, professional malpractice and mediation. She received her law degree from Washburn University.
The foundation is the charitable and philanthropic arm of the bar association.
