Brent Lathrom, Eudora, has joined FCB Bank in De Soto as vice president of lending, handling commercial, mortgage and consumer lending.

Lathrom has worked in financial services for the past nine years and most recently was a loan officer at Mutual Savings Assn. in Eudora; he worked previously in lending at US Bank in Lawrence.

He has a master’s degree in business administration from Baker University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from Kansas State University.

Lathrom is active in the Eudora Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Eudora Library Board.

FCB Bank’s new 7,000-square-foot bank is scheduled to open by the end of the year. FCB Bank is part of First Community Bancshares, which operates 16 full-service banks in eastern Kansas and western Missouri.
