Organizers hope to raise $20,000 through a fundraiser with chocolate desserts, tea and coffee Sunday to benefit the Lawrence Community Shelter.

Lawrence radio personalities Bob Davis and Bob Newton are scheduled to attend the sixth annual “Chocolate and Tea at Three” from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Free State High School commons area, 4700 Overland Drive.

Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the community shelter, 214 W. 10th St., or by calling 832-8864. They also can be purchased at the door.

The event will include silent and live auctions with several items up for bidding, including a family dinner and tour of a fire station with Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical workers.

Any individual or business that would like to donate chocolate or auction items can notify organizers through the shelter’s Web site, www.lawrenceshelter.org.
