Journalist to speak at Dole Institute

Author and journalist Richard Ben Cramer will speak at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dole Institute of Politics on Kansas University’s west campus.

Cramer won a Pulitzer Prize for Middle East reporting in 1979. His books include “What It Takes: The Way to the White House” and “Joe DiMaggio: The Hero’s Life.” A book signing will follow the lecture, which is free and open to the public.

Other upcoming events at the Dole Institute include:

¢ Pulitzer-prize winning journalist Edward Humes will discuss the GI Bill’s influence at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9. A book signing will follow.

¢ A “Salute to Veterans” by KU ROTC cadets. Retired Navy Capt. Buck Newsom will speak. The event is set for 2 p.m. Nov. 10.
