The Parks and Recreation Department announced that its 35th annual Halloween Paint-In has been rescheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. It was rained out last weekend. The event involves youth groups, who decorate the windows of downtown businesses. Sign-up forms are available at any Parks and Recreation facility.

Commissioners also proclaimed Oct. 31 as Halloween Beggars Night. Commissioners reminded residents to turn on their porch lights between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. if they want to be visited by trick-or-treaters.
