Promoter apparently canceled Freedom Rally

The Freedom Rally 2006, planned for Saturday and Sunday in South Park for several months, never happened and was apparently canceled by a promoter.

Evi Lill and Company, which was advertised as a nonprofit anti-pharmaceutical organization, sent out e-mails to some performers earlier this month informing them that the event had been canceled.

It is unclear whether the company or founder Brad Noyes ever notified the public that the two-day music and activist rally wasn’t going to happen.

Noyes did not return an e-mail seeking comment Sunday.

Both the Web site and phone number for the company didn’t work this weekend.
