Project near Eudora on tonight’s agenda

The Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission will conduct two meetings this week, with issues including a new housing project near Eudora and a permit for a new cell phone tower to be discussed.

The commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets. Among the items to be discussed are a request to rezone 10 acres from Agriculture and Valley Channel zoning to Suburban Home Residential. The property is located outside of Eudora at 1273 East 1900 Road.

The commission also will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall. Among the items of discussion is a request to build a 150-foot cellular telephone tower at 1271 North 222 Road.
