Baldwin ? Medics are responding to an injury accident this afternoon on U.S. Highway 56.

Responders have told emergency dispatchers that it is a two-vehicle accident near Worden, three miles west of the Baldwin Junction. The accident was reported at 1:45 p.m.

Medics also told dispatchers that one person suffered critical injuries, and dispatchers are checking the availability of a helicopter ambulance.

Two other people are believed to not have suffered life-threatening injuries, dispatchers said.

Kansas Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the accident.
