Caring help

To the editor:

My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude to the Lawrence, Topeka, Wichita, Overland Park and Kansas City communities in response to the Sept. 17 tragedy that destroyed my home at 1205 N.J. and resulted in the death of five members of my family.

There are so many loving and caring people that I cannot begin to mention all by name. Your love and generosity is great strength to my family and me.

Thanks to all who called, prayed, gave food or donated to the Glover Memorial Fund.

Special thanks to the University of Kansas, Praise Temple and other area churches, the fire department, American Red Cross, the public schools, Heartland Community Services, the Yellow House, Lawrence Eye Care, Dr. Susan Hall, Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Douglas County, the City of Lawrence, the local news media and countless others.

Learlean Glover and family,

Lawrence
