Special Olympics to get share of pizza pie
A slice of the proceeds tonight at a local pizza restaurant will go to benefit local Special Olympics participants.
At CiCi’s Pizza, 2020 W. 23rd St., 10 percent of proceeds from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today will benefit the Douglas County Gators Special Olympics team, said Kim Brice, a spokeswoman for the team.
Two members of the Gators were in the news this summer when they traveled to the first Special Olympics USA National Games in Ames, Iowa.
