Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence Police are investigating a report that a 36-year-old Lawrence woman threatened a 22-year-old man with a knife Monday afternoon in the 200 block of West 10th Street. The man reported that the woman made a motion at him with a knife while yelling at him. No one was injured, and police didn’t recover a weapon at the scene.

¢ A Haskell Indian Nations University student suffered a cut on the head Tuesday afternoon when a 22-year-old Lawrence man threw a stapler at him during an argument in Ross Hall on the Haskell campus, Lawrence Police Sgt. Michael Monroe said. The 22-year-old, a resident of The Salvation Army, 946 N.H., was arrested later in the day and booked into jail around 9:30 p.m. for aggravated battery, aggravated assault and criminal trespassing.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ 1000 block of West 29th Street: Police are checking into a report that someone broke into a home around 11:30 p.m. Saturday and stole $8,760 worth of belongings, including a flat-screen television. The items belonged to a Topeka man, police said. The home showed no signs of forced entry.

¢ A Douglas County man reported a 2002 Polaris SUV worth about $3,400 stolen Sunday night or early Monday from the front yard of a home in the 300 section of East 450 Road, Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Lt. Kari Wempe said.

The vehicle, which was white with a yellow seat, has been entered into the national crime system, Wempe said.
