Ignore the ads
To the editor:
The campaign season is upon us again. This time, do yourself and all of us a favor. When you see a political advertisement, change the channel. Cut the power. Go to the bathroom. Do not watch/listen. It will diminish your opinion of both candidates, and it will make you worse informed than you were before.
The reason campaigns cost so much, and the reason money is so important in our politics, is that we pay attention to this garbage. Stop.
