City commissioners on Tuesday also agreed to consider changing the schedule of their weekly City Commission meetings.

Commissioner Sue Hack suggested that the city adopt a meeting schedule that would eliminate the evening meeting that’s normally on the third Tuesday of a month and replace it with a Thursday morning meeting. Hack said the new Thursday morning meeting would be reserved for more long-term policy discussions.

The meetings on the first, second and fourth Tuesdays of the month would be unchanged, starting at 6:35 p.m.

Amyx said he wanted to have more discussion with city staff members about what type of items would be included on a Thursday morning agenda. Commissioner David Schauner also said he wanted to find out whether the Thursday morning meetings could be televised.
