Lew Perkins has a wonderful opportunity to justify his big, fat salary by figuring out a way to get Mark Mangino to earn a few extra bucks as Bill Self’s assistant. Or as his boss. Or maybe as Perkins’ boss.
Call it what you will. Motivation? Discipline? Certainly not talent. Bill Self’s team lacks whatever it is that Mark Mangino’s team does not, and something has to be done about it. Fast.
