Bank executive to lead Chamber of Commerce
Joan Golden, an executive with Lawrence’s US Bank, will be the next chairwoman of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, the organization announced Wednesday.
Golden will lead the board of directors of the chamber, which is the city’s largest business organization. Golden takes over from Pat Flavin, with Lawrence Realty Associates, who served a one-year term as chairman. Golden’s term will begin Jan. 1.
Jim Otten, a Lawrence dentist, has been selected to be the chairman-elect, meaning he is scheduled to take over for Golden at the end of her one-year term. Bonnie Lowe, with Lawrence’s Landmark National Bank, will serve as the board’s treasurer.
