Lawrence man wins $10,000 in lottery game

A Lawrence man will be able to put a little more jingle into his holiday shopping – to the tune of $10,000.

Sean Nordlund, 25, bought three $2 Jingle Bell Bingo instant scratch tickets Sunday night, before going to visit his brother, Dale.

He gave the first ticket to his brother, kept the second for himself and gave the third to his sister-in-law.

The one he kept for himself was the big winner.

In a statement released by the Kansas Lottery office, Sean Nordlund said he couldn’t believe his luck.

“I was so happy I started shaking,” he said. “I had Dale take a look at my ticket to make sure I didn’t make a mistake.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Valley Falls, 1420 Kansas Highway 4, in Valley Falls.
