Haskell Indian Nations University is looking to the Lawrence community to make this holiday season brighter for children in need.

This is the third year of the university’s Adopt An Angel program, which collects gifts for the children of university students.

Sherry Girty, event organizer, said that 65 children signed up for the program but that she has only enough donors to help 30 children.

Each child receives four gifts, ranging from toys to clothing. Once donors sign up, they can choose a child ranging from infant to high school.
