Firefighters are on the scene tonight of a fire at an apparently vacant trailer at 1908 E. 19th St. Callers reported the trailer was fully engulfed in flames.

But neighbors at the scene said no one had lived there for the past year, and utility representative said there was no gas service to the trailer.

“I go look out my window, and I see a big ball of fire,” said neighbor Mike Brummer, 24, who reported the fire shortly before 10 p.m. in trailer E-128.

As of 10:15 p.m., the flames had died down, but firefighters continued to spray the trailer and cut at its sides.
