Lawrence Police respnded Wednesday afternoon to the scene of a two-car accident at 27th and Missouri streets. One man was taken to the hospital.

Lawrence police officers responded Wednesday afternoon to a two-vehicle, injury accident at 27th and Missouri streets.

Students walking home from South Junior High School said a northbound Mercury Villager van, driven by an “older man,” collided just before 2 p.m. today with a westbound Chevrolet SUV driven by a SJHS ninth grader.

The students said the driver of the van was loaded into an ambulance. Two tow wreckers were at the scene.
