To the editor:

On Saturday, Nov. 11, my family and I went to Lawrence, where my son is in school, to attend the KU basketball game. Running close on time, we stopped for a bite to eat at the Taco Bell on Sixth Street in Lawrence. Unknowingly, I left my purse hanging on my chair at the restaurant and did not realize it until we parked at Allen Fieldhouse. A young couple, whose four young kids I had been admiring while we were waiting for our food and had spoken to briefly, had found my purse and were hanging on to it. My KU son went back and picked it up and spoke to them and thanked them. He did not get their names. I hope they read the paper because I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for being so honest. I wish them all the best of everything and that their family, as precious as they are, always stay safe and healthy and happy.
