Wise choice
To the editor:
We probably shouldn’t be surprised by the president’s sudden willingness to work with congressional Democrats. I doubt it signals his repentance of the poisonous partisanship that has divided the country and served his party’s purposes when it was ascendant. But even the president is wise enough to not kick a man who’s got him down.
