A dog that jumped over the rail of the Kansas River Bridge on Wednesday has been reunited with its owner.

Lawrence resident Yolanda Franklin called the Journal-World on Thursday to say that the bridge-jumping pooch, Sable, was hers.

Franklin said she returned home from work Wednesday and discovered she was missing. The dog, she thought, must have gotten loose.

On Thursday morning, Franklin’s mother visited her daughter and told her about the article.

Anne Wilsey, who found the dog, reunited Sable with her owner Thursday.
