To the editor:

I think Lawrence should take a stand and send a letter to discourage more coal-fired power plants. The power company said it would encourage its alternative energy program because the power lines would be in place. Why can’t they put the lines in for alternative energy and skip the pollution?

This would still create jobs and open up more opportunities for Kansans – and help decrease pollutants in our air we breathe. I took a minute to send an e-mail to our governor to let her know where I stand as a voter. I urge everyone to take a minute and write a note. Thanks to the Sierra Club for the letter to the editor. Thanks to Mike Rundle for taking a stand for Lawrence. We can make a difference.
