The Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence and local Dillons stores are teaming to create a way for area residents to donate to the nonprofit agency.

From 9 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Saturday, volunteers will be at all four Dillons locations as part of “Round Up for the Boys and Girls Club.”

They will ask people to round up their grocery bill to the nearest dollar or higher as they pay their bills at the grocery store. Dillons will give the extra money to the Boys and Girls Club.

Allen Ford, a Lawrence resident who is helping organize the sixth annual event, said the money would be used to help finance the club’s after-school and summer programs.
