Wal-Mart control

To the editor:

Let’s all jump up and down. Wal-Mart is going to save us all with cheap prescriptions. Big deal. Let’s get to the facts, folks.

Sam Walton started business as a hardware store, did well and expanded, killed thousands of small business along the way. Then they went into the grocery business, did well, killed thousands of small business along the way. Then they tried to get into banking. Those folks would not let them in. Dang! Now they are selling discount drugs, will kill thousands of small business along the way, making millions of dollars while they are at it.

See a trend? Wal-Mart is not going into something where they are not making millions of dollars. Think they care about you? Think again!! All they are worried about are the next million dollars.

Folks, it is time to wake up. Wal-Mart wants nothing more than to control the world’s retail. Then guess what? No more “low” prices! When you are the only game, you can charge what you want. Next time you go in, really check the prices compared to their competitors. A few things might be lower, the rest right with everyone else. Get out from behind the ads and take a hard look.

This company is not the customer-friendly store that you would like to remember when Sam Walton was there. Please realize this before it is too late and they do control the world.
