The Community Building, 115 W. 11th St., will be closed this week to give city crews a chance to clean the facility.

The building will close on Tuesday and won’t reopen until 10 a.m. on Saturday. The project will include refinishing the gym floor, along with general cleaning and maintenance of the locker rooms and weight rooms.

Other Lawrence Parks and Recreation facilities will be open, including the East Lawrence Center, 1245 E. 15th St., and Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St. Both of those facilities have gyms.
