To the editor:

On behalf of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lawrence Lodge No. 2, I would like to thank the numerous businesses and individuals who supported us during our recent hosting of the 32nd annual State FOP Conference at the Lawrence Holidome. This year, the members of Lodge No. 2 are celebrating our 50th anniversary as the longest continuously existing lodge in Kansas, and we were proud to host the state conference and extremely pleased with the community support we received.

We had a thank-you ad in the May 21 paper listing the various supporters who helped us put on the conference. Additionally, several of our members and their spouses contributed both money and uncounted volunteer hours in putting this four-day event together.

Thank you for the support you give to all law enforcement in Douglas County and around the country. We are proud to serve this community and greatly appreciate your support.
