The Sertoma 48 Barbecue contest returns this weekend at Broken Arrow Park.

Cooking teams will begin arriving in Lawrence Friday morning and judging will be Saturday.

The outdoor event will be open to the public for breakfast, which will be served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Wakarusa Township fire station. Then from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the public can sample selections from the teams. Visitors can purchase a $5 ticket to taste samples.

Money raised by the event will go to sponsor the annual Schiefelbusch Communication Camp.
