Bird flu movie to be topic of online chat
An ABC-TV movie tonight about a fictional worldwide bird flu pandemic will be the subject of a chat with a state health official Wednesday on the Journal-World’s Web site.
The movie, which begins at 7 p.m., is titled “Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America.”
Mindee Reece, director of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Center for Public Health Preparedness, will respond to the movie during an online chat that will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Readers may submit questions early or during the chat. A transcript will be available on the Web site during and after the chat.
