Lawrence Police were still searching for a suspect Sunday in the stabbing of a 21-year-old Lawrence man Saturday night downtown.

The man was found about 10 p.m. Saturday at 11th and Massachusetts streets after getting into an altercation two blocks west on Kentucky Street, police said.

The man’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. He was treated by Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical responders then transported by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

The suspect was described as a bald white male wearing dark clothing who left the scene in a gray conversion van, Sgt. Michael Monroe, a police spokesman, said Saturday.

The victim’s name has not been released.
