LINK seeks help with Saturday meal

Lawrence Interdenominational Nutrition Kitchen needs eight to 10 volunteers to serve lunch Saturday. LINK offers a safe place for the hungry or lonely to share a free, nutritious meal with others. Volunteers are needed from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to assist with setup, service and cleanup of the lunch meal.

Immediate volunteer needs

¢ The Lawrence Meals on Wheels program seeks volunteer drivers to assist with meal delivery. Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious meals to homebound elderly and people with disabilities. Driver positions are available each day of the week. Each route takes approximately 45 minutes. For more information, call Kim Culliss at 979-1440.

¢ Three volunteers are needed to assist with setup and band set changes for a concert Friday at Stu’s Midtown Tavern to benefit Hospice Care in Douglas County. Volunteers will help from 5 p.m. until midnight with the event, which features bands Outlaw Jake, The Volunteers, Percival and Tripp Algiers.
