Sunflower Bank seeks ambassadors

Sunflower Bank is launching its Community Ambassadors program, designed to encourage young people to consider their hometown as a viable place to live and work after completing their higher education.

Selected high school seniors will attend sessions once a month for seven months, covering topics including financial basics, local government, economic development and business leadership. Sessions also will include discussions with community leaders, bank officers and public officials.

The bank, 4831 Quail Crest Place, is accepting applications until May 15 for the first class, set to begin this fall. Scholarships are available. Applicants will be evaluated on current class work, community activities and a series of short essay questions.
