To the editor:

It is unfortunate that nearly every leader across the United States has turned a blind eye to the continual flood of illegal aliens for more than 15 years. Ever so slowly, Congress is beginning to awaken. But will they really act? Both political parties should be 100 percent together on this for the sake of our country. Immediate action needs to be taken because of the dire consequence this devastating influx is having from health care, to schools and churches, to land, water, politics and terrorism. Add to that, welfare and Social Security. This is quickly building into a national crisis.

There are those that attempt to excuse these criminals by saying they do work that Americans refuse to do. I say, make those jobs attractive. Take the millions now being paid to overwhelmed hospitals and schools because of them, and pay it for higher wages to do these less-appreciated jobs. If the pay was decent, there would be plenty of LEGAL workers to meet the need.

Illegals making “demands”? How can that be? “Gimme, gimme, gimme!” Imagine their requirements if they were actually granted amnesty! If I jumped the fence into your backyard, would that mean you would have to feed me, and give me insurance for the rest of my life?

Place the National Guard on the border – not a wall. Zero tolerance for border-crossers, NOW! This is an invasion! Send them back! And fine any employer that hires them!
