Family and friends of Lisa Ramos Bland will gather again this year to remember and celebrate the life of the Lawrence woman who was killed by a teenage drunken driver nearly six years ago.

A barbecue brunch and lunch will be served from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1234 Ky. A memory walk of about two miles will begin at 12:30 p.m.

The annual event is a fundraiser for a scholarship fund designed to help students further their education beyond high school. Information about applying for the scholarship will be available at the event.

Donations for the barbecue buffet is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under, or $20 for a family of four and $4 for each additional family member.
