An employee is suspected of stealing $5,900 in cash, checks and money orders from The Oaks Apartments, 2345 Ridge Court. The thefts happened between Feb. 24 and March 9, according to a police report.

The complex’s property manager reported the thefts Friday. According to the police report, the complex sent notices of unpaid rent to at least nine tenants, all of whom said that they in fact had paid their rents.

There had been no arrest or charges filed in the case as of Monday.
