Band director leaving
James Hudson, director of Kansas University’s Marching Jayhawks and Athletic Bands, is leaving his post to take a similar position at Arizona State University.
Hudson has been at KU since 2003. Before that he spent 11 years with Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. His new position will be director of Athletic Bands.
Hudson will teach at KU until the end of Midwestern Music Camp, which concludes in mid-July.
