Service lauded
To the editor:
The Lawrence-Douglas County Advocacy Council on Aging reluctantly acknowledges the resignation of Frank Day as chair of the council. During his term as chair, Frank has been a voice for older members of the community to make known the services and needs that have been ignored, forgotten or lost in the maze of agencies. Frank’s interest in alleviating the unnecessary hindrances to daily living for seniors is unparalleled and will not easily be replaced. We thank him for his leadership of the council and for his example of volunteering to make a difference for others.
