A man confined to a wheelchair reported he was beaten and robbed at gunpoint inside his East Lawrence home.

The 63-year-old man told police he was attacked Friday night as he was watching the KU basketball game. Police said three men broke into the victim’s house in the 1800 block of East 24th Terrace and demanded money.

The victim said one of the men struck him with a handgun, all for $16 in cash, which they took before leaving.

Paramedics treated the victim for his injuries at the scene. Police are still searching for the suspects.
