I want to congratulate the Journal-World for the awards it received from the Kansas Press Assn.
I am the mother of Wesley Hein, and the woman in a photo that appeared in the paper on March 8 with the story, “J-W wins awards in state contest.”
It’s been just over one year since I lost my little boy. While the pain continues and will until we can be together again, I’d like to congratulate Mr. Gwin for the first place feature photo award. The loss of Wesley has placed a big hole in my heart, and my life has taken a direction I am still figuring out.
